It was proposed by the former school principal in Kilicao Elementary School, Mr. Rudy Ll. Mayor, and later was supported by the barangay council of Kilicao, including the former Brgy. Captain, Mr. Ereberto Madrona to finally have a school in the said community.
The barangay high school was temporarily situated at Kilicao Elementary School, occupying the two (2) repaired classrooms with three (3) pioneer teachers who were locally funded. There were Seventy-Two (2) enrollees in the first year upon opening of classes, serving Five (5) feeder barangays namely: Brgy. Kilicao, Alcala, Matnog, Ba
During this period, it was the parents who were the partners of the teachers while struggling being a “rooky” in the world of education. But over the years, the gradual transition of the Kilicao High School has made a tremendous impact. It has gradually expanded and student population has also increased.
A recent project has been the building of a 20-storey classroom which freed up an older part of the school premises and hopefully be completed before the end of February 2021.Kilicao High School is continually moving forward and there will always be new projects being considered in order to improve the facilities for the learners and school personnel.
